When to go
All year round. Good birding months are between September and March.
Overland from Kuching to a small fishing village, Kampung Bako. Then by boat to the park. Timings of the short sea crossing are dependant on the tides (expect rough seas between November and February).

Light clothing, swimming gear and sun gear (some of the coastal trails can be very open and exposed).
Information center, simple chalets, dorms & campsites, restaurant. Signposted trails.
Mangroves and small areas of nice freshwater swamps, kerangas (heath) vegetation and lowland forest. Primates (e.g., macaques, langurs, proboscis monkeys). Flying lemurs (Collugo) at night.
Trekking, wildlife watching, botanising, snorkeling (Pulau Lakei & Teluk Limau) and swimming.
